Relationship Between UTC and GMT
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time): An international time standard based on atomic
clocks. It is widely used as the foundation for time systems.
GMT (Greenwich Mean Time): Historically referred to the mean solar time at the Royal
Observatory in Greenwich, but today it often means the same time as UTC (offset 0). In this tool, GMT is
always treated as equivalent to UTC with "offset 0 (Etc/GMT)".
About Daylight Saving Time (DST) and Timezones
When applying Daylight Saving Time, this tool automatically considers DST based on the specified date.
If the DST checkbox is off, or if the target date is outside the DST period, times will be displayed
based on the "standard time" of each timezone.
About Each Timezone
JST (Japan Standard Time): Does not observe Daylight Saving Time. Always UTC+9.
PST (Pacific Standard Time): Used in parts of the United States and Canada. Changes to
PDT (Pacific Daylight Time, UTC-7) during summer. Standard time is UTC-8.
EST (Eastern Standard Time): Used in parts of the United States and Canada. Changes to
EDT (Eastern Daylight Time, UTC-4) during summer. Standard time is UTC-5.
CST (Central Standard Time): Used in parts of the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Changes to CDT (Central Daylight Time, UTC-5) during summer. Standard time is UTC-6.

European Summer Time, UTC+2) during summer. Standard time is UTC+1.

observe Daylight Saving Time. Always UTC+3.
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) and GMT (Greenwich Mean Time,
Etc/GMT) as used in this tool do not have the concept of Daylight Saving Time.
